1) This weekend the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers traveled to Australia to play the first game of the 2014 season.  The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 3-1 in game 1, and 7-5 in game 2.

 

2)  Jurickson Profar, Rangers second baseman, suffered a muscle tear in his right shoulder. He does not need surgery, but will have to sit out somewhere between 10 and 12 weeks.

 

3)  Though it hasn’t been announced officially, rumor has it David Ortiz will agree to a one-year $16 million extension with the Red Sox. David has proven his worth with the Red Sox over the last ten seasons, even winning the Most Valuable Player in the 2013 World Series.
